Join us Tuesday mornings to listen to a story and complete a related craft project. This class is open to toddlers as young as age 2, with assistance from their parents, through around age eight. Older and younger siblings are welcome to attend and participate as they desire.
CRAFTY KIDS- Fridays
June 9th-August 4th, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
(Crafty Kids activities require pre-registration one week prior to the event to ensure there are enough supplies. These projects are most suitable for age four and up. Toddlers are welcome to attend but may require more parental help.)
June 9th- Kids Fairy Garden –We will use new and recycled supplies to create a cute kid friendly fairy garden.
June 16th- Bubble Blower Painting- Come and try a fun new way to paint. Dress appropriately, a mess is sure to ensue.
June 23rd- Tie Dye- You may bring up to three items to tie dye. We will show different ways to tie shirts and tie dye techniques.
June 30th-Fireworks Painting- Just in time for the fourth of July we will be creating fireworks masterpieces with toilet paper tubes.
July 7th- Sidewalk Chalk- We will be making sidewalk chalk with a fun new twist from the traditional.
July 14th- Ice Cream In A Bag- In the heat of summer there is nothing better than some nice cold ice cream, especially homemade.
July 21st- Squirt Gun Painting- What could be more fun to close out our summer events then to create a paint masterpiece with a squirt gun?!
July 28th- Marble Maze Game- Kids will be creating their own marble maze games with straws and box lids!
August 4th- DIY Lava Lamp- Come and creating your very own mesmerizing lava lamp.
ADULTS ONLY NIGHTS
Thursday June 15th- Crock Pot Meal Prep Session: Join us for this adult’s only workshop! This workshop will be for up to 12 people with staggered start times starting at 5:15 through 6:00 p.m. available. Plan on about 1-1/2 to 2 hours time from start for this event. For this workshop you will bring most of the ingredients to make the following 10 meals: Chicken Broccoli Rice, Scalloped Potatoes and Ham, Maple Bacon Pork Loin, Beef Hash, Savory Pepper Steak, Garlic Chicken Drumsticks, Crock Pot Ravioli, Rootbeer Roast, Lentil Veggie Soup, and French Dip Sandwiches. For the low price of $10 the center will provide spices, ziplock bags, labels, recipes and shopping lists to you. We will also be making one of the dinners to try. We will provide soda and water but you may BYOB. Payments can be dropped off or mailed to the Family Resource Center at 3066 Main Street, Suite 108, PO BOX 962, East Troy, WI 53120 no later than 6/9/17 to allow sufficient time to e-mail you the shopping list. Please include your e-mail address. A minimum of five participants is needed to hold this class.
Thursday July 20th- Adult Craft Night-DIY Flip Flop Welcome Sign- We will be making a DIY Flip Flop Welcome Sign, a perfect summer greeting for your front entrance. For the bargain price of $20 we will provide all of the supplies need, instruction, great company, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages! You are welcome to bring in any beverage of your choosing. So bring your girlfriends for a fun night out! Due to the limited spacing at the center, this is a reserved event only! Only 20 spaces are available for this one-time event. Please pre-register on our events page or by calling 642-4900 or e-mailing [email protected] and then sending or dropping off your $20 payment to the East Troy Family Community Resource Center, 3066 Main Street, PO Box 962, East Troy, WI 53120. Payment is needed by 7/14/17 to secure your spot. A minimum of five participants is needed to hold this class.
The Family Resource Center will be closed from August 9th through September 5th.
