Alphabet Adventures: Every Tuesday we will hold a pre-school class called Alphabet Adventures. In February we will be covering the letters T, U, V, W. Each week we will try to incorporate different skills such as cutting, coloring, counting, pasting, color and shape recognition in addition to learning a new letter. Please pre-register by the Monday prior. It is not necessary to attend every class. This class is appropriate for ages 2-5 and takes place from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.
Friday Play Group: A playgroup for children age five and under will be held every Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. This is a great time for little ones to socialize and learn the valuable lessons of sharing, cooperation and fair play. This also provides caregivers an opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers in the community. Come join the fun! This is a free program and there is no need to register.
Crafty Kids-Thursday February 8th- We will be making a Valentine Heart Bouquet. This event will take place from 5:30-6:00 p.m. We will need a minimum of 5 pre-registered children participating to hold this class. Please pre-register by Sunday February 4th.
Crock Pot Creations- Thursday February 15th- This workshop is open to 12 people. We will need a minimum of five participants to hold this class. For this workshop you will bring most of the ingredients to make the following 10 meals: Chicken Noodle Soup, Meatloaf, Hearty Western Casserole, Lemon Pepper Turkey Breast, Italian Chicken, Crock Pot Pizza, Freezer Chicken Pot Pie, Chicken and Rice Casserole, Honey Parmesan Pork Roast and Crock Pot Tater Tots. For the low price of $10 the center will provide spices, ziplock bags, labels, recipes, utensils needed to prepare the meals and shopping list to you. We will also be making one of the dinners to try. Payments will be needed by 2/09/18 to reserve your spot. After you sign up and pay your fee the shopping list will be e-mailed to you. Payments can be dropped off or mailed to the Family Resource Center at 3066 Main Street, Suite 108, PO BOX 962, East Troy, WI 53120 no later than 2/09/18 to allow sufficient time to e-mail you the shopping list. Please include your e-mail address. This event will have a staggered start time between 5:15 and 6:00 p.m. and run no later than 8:00 p.m.
Save the Date: Thursday March 8th Crafty Kids Class
Thursday March 22nd: Decorating Sugar Cookies 101 joins us as we have Nana's Yummy Cookies Workshop teach us some tips and tricks. Learn how to decorate delightful and delicious sugar cookies at your own pace in a small, comfortable environment. No talent needed, just patience to get a little practice under your belt! The event will take 2 to 2-1/2 hours. The Family Resource Center will also provide non-alcoholic beverages. Feel free to bring your own adult beverage of choice. The cost is $25.00 and you will go home with 6-9 cookies. You must register and pay by Sunday, March 18th. Payments can be mailed to East Troy Family and Community Resource Center (ETFCRC) PO Box 962, East Troy, WI 53120 or dropped off at the center. We will need a minimum of ten paid participants by 3/18 to hold the class and a maximum class size of 20.
